Hi! We’re Laura Lee and Matt Crandall, and we are the core of Midwest Mixtape. We are passionate about making events unforgettable through live music. We have both experienced the power and joy of music and work to bring that to every show we play.
Laura Lee Crandall
Laura Lee performs on drums and vocals. She has a BA in Percussion Performance from UMKC and is happiest when sitting behind a drum set! When she’s not doing something music related, she loves to line dance, travel, and drink a good mocha with friends.
Matt Crandall
Matt Crandall performs on saxophone, guitar, bass, and vocals. He has a Music Education BA and MM from UMKC and teaches high school in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
Matt is a member of the 312th Army Band out of Lawrence, Kansas.
